THE GADFLY PAPERS
By Ernest Partridge, Ph.D
Please excuse
redundancies. Because these papers were gathered
from widely scattered sources, some ideas and quotations that recur in
this collection, did not do so at the original appearance of these
papers.
With few exceptions (as noted)
these papers have been published or are pending publication, and subsequently
transferred to these web pages. Unlike "hard copy"
publications, these papers can benefit from post- publication revision
as, indeed, many have. Also, some papers, free from publishers' space
restrictions, are longer than the published versions.
The "Permanent List of
Publications" contains titles cited in subsequent work with reference to this website -- and thus with an implied promised that they might be
found here. Accordingly, the titles on this list will remain here during the life of this
website.
This is not a complete list.
At last count, The Gadfly has published seventy papers in refereed journals or
by invitation.
And now (December, 2004), The Gadfly
has just added his complete doctoral dissertation,
"Rawls and the Duty to
Posterity." (PDF Format)
